ASUS RT-N13U - Pathetic Quality

After reading lot of positive reviews of this wifi router , I decided to buy this one.

As my main purpose of this router was to share my TATA Photon+ connection to multiple wifi enabled devices.

After receiving this router from FLIPKART, Setting up the router was very easy and user friendly.

I used this router till August end (with 7 weeks no usage during may and June) and suddenly the router started working as 'Repeater' and no way to make it work as router.

So I took it to the ASUS aut...

RT-N13U B1 Review

I was using a class B Netgear wireless router since 2003 and decided to upgrade with this class N device. In my opinion -

Pros:
1. Class N router at affordable price.
2. You can use an USB drive over the network. Though read/write speed will be slow compared to direct plugging in.
3. ASUS GUI is simple and easy for the novice user.
4. Supporting f/w and utilities are available from ASUS website.
5. Fully compatible with DD-WRT. Flashing with DD-WRT opens up more features e.g. creating multi...

Asus RT-N13U wireless router works as promised

I got this router after researching a bit. You have more portable devices that have great reviews but I selected this one since I don't need to carry around the router - it's used only at my home.

I tested it with tataindicom broadband (WiMAX) line and it works great. I also use it to share my 3G access with other devices at home. I have a Reliance 3G dongle -- ZTE-MF668 -- available for Rs.3000. I am going to stop my broadband service and use only 3G which is better - reliable and more valu...

The router need a switch for cable internet

This is the first day of using the product. I'm using ACT cable broadband connection and the main switch is fixed more than 100 meters from my home. When I try to set up the router, it keep on saying that the WAN cable is not connected, but the internet works fine when I directly connect to my PC.

After doing some research, I found that the router is not getting enough signal as the main switch is more than 100 meters away. So I spend another 500 bucks for a D-Link switch the issue solved.

ASUS after sales service was really good

I used this router for 2 years and then all of a sudden it stopped working. I took it back to the service centre. As this model has been discontinued they refunded my money after 2 years of use. I had used this router in all its modes over a period of 2 years and it worked without too much effort.

I tried searching for a product with similar features but none of them come even close to the features this one provides.

If nothing else I do have faith in ASUS as a brand now.

Good function but didnt work

I bought Asus router got it replaced easily 1st time as it was within 30 day replacement guarantee.

But after crossing 30 days it again started giving problem, so I had to contact company for repair, but instead got refund as the model was not available.

In all not happy with product but happy with after sales service both from flipkart and asus.

Excellent value for a hackable router.

I purchased this to install OpenWRT (Linux) for some simple home automation and network jobs - music player/alarm, print server etc. Doing so was fairly straightforward, making this an affordable little box for those sort of tasks.

Keep in mind that the CPU and RAM are very limited, so it's unlikely to be very good for fast file serving or any other I/O- or computation-heavy work.
